Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology Odisha, Burla has been established by converting the University College of Engineering Burla, vide Govt. of Odisha Act-9 of 2009 “THE VEER SURENDRA SAI UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY ACT, 2008”. The University College of Engineering Burla has Golden legacy of excellent teaching and research in technological area since its establishment in 1956. This section is responsible for AICTE funding for different activities like ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP), Universal Human Value (UHV),PEDAGOGY.

This section helps in development and upgradation of skills and knowledge of the aspirants regarding technology, management, or any other area of specialization. The main idea behind Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) is to "upskill" academic educators and keep the curricula of various programs at our university updated to keep pace with the changing demands of the industry.

Universal human values are values that have the same value or worth for all, or almost all, people. They encompass morality, aesthetic preference, human traits, human endeavour, and social order. Universal values apply to all types of human beings, regardless of their social, ethnic or cultural origin. They are considered to have the same meaning for all people and do not vary according to societies. By organizing the FDPs on UHV, teachers as well as students can be able to learn about actual value of life. Pedagogymost commonly understood as the approach to teaching, is the theory and practice of learning. Pedagogy, taken as an academic discipline, is the study of how knowledge and skills are imparted in an educational context, and it considers the interactions that take place during learning.
