    2. Crystal Engineering: Design, synthesis, crystal engineering and application of network solids such as pharmaceutical co-crystals and their materials applications.
    3. Co-ordination Chemistry: Metal-organic frameworks with intriguing properties and potential applications.
    4. Physical Chemistry: Developing simple fluorescent and calorimetric chemo sensors for biologically important anions and cations as well as design and synthesis of new biological active molecules and study of their protein interaction as well as cytotoxicity.
